Peke
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a binding agreement. You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and promptly update information that changes. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
You may use Peke as a sender, traveler, or both. You may not impersonate another person, create accounts to evade restrictions, or transfer your account without permission.
2. Peke’s role
Peke provides technology that helps independent senders and travelers discover each other and coordinate shipments. Peke is not the carrier, owner, seller, buyer, employer, agent, or insurer of a shipment or user. Users decide whether to enter an arrangement and remain responsible for their conduct, agreements, and compliance with law.
Identity or document checks reduce risk but do not guarantee a user’s identity, trustworthiness, legality, or performance.
3. Listings, matches, and delivery
- Senders must accurately describe contents, value, weight, condition, route, and special handling needs.
- Travelers must accurately describe their trip, capacity, dates, restrictions, and ability to carry an item lawfully and safely.
- Both parties must inspect the information, communicate inside Peke where possible, and agree on price, timing, pickup, and delivery before handoff.
- Users must use verification, status, appointment, and receiver features honestly and must not falsely confirm payment or delivery.
- Senders must have permission to provide a receiver’s details and should tell receivers how their information will be used.
4. Prohibited and restricted items
You may not use Peke to request, offer, carry, receive, or facilitate illegal, unsafe, stolen, counterfeit, or prohibited items. This includes, without limitation:
- narcotics, illegal drugs, controlled substances, or prescription medicine without lawful documentation;
- firearms, ammunition, explosives, weapons, or hazardous materials;
- pornographic or exploitative material;
- alcohol where prohibited, large amounts of cash, stolen goods, or counterfeit goods;
- unregistered food, plants, animals, biological materials, or regulated goods without required permits;
- anything prohibited by airline, airport, customs, export, import, sanctions, consumer-protection, or destination-country rules.
User responsibility: The sender and traveler are each responsible for checking contents and complying with all applicable laws, customs rules, carrier policies, and permit requirements. In Egypt, this includes applicable customs, narcotics, consumer-protection, and criminal laws, as amended.
5. Prices, payments, cancellations, and disputes
Prices and rewards shown in Peke are agreed between users unless Peke expressly states otherwise. Payment-confirmation features record user acknowledgements; they do not make Peke a bank, payment processor, escrow provider, or guarantor.
Users are responsible for agreed payments, taxes, fees, cancellations, and losses caused by their own conduct. Report no-shows, non-delivery, damaged items, payment issues, or suspected fraud promptly through available in-app support or reporting tools. Peke may review records and take platform action but does not guarantee recovery or resolution.
6. Communications and acceptable use
You must communicate respectfully and only for legitimate Peke activity. You may not harass, threaten, discriminate, spam, scam, manipulate reviews or status records, scrape data, probe security, upload malware, interfere with the Service, or use another user’s information for unrelated purposes.
Chat and uploaded content must be lawful and must not violate privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights. You grant Peke a limited license to host, process, and display content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
7. Safety and in-person handoffs
Use reasonable judgment, meet in safe public places when appropriate, inspect packages before accepting them, protect verification codes, and do not proceed if details appear unsafe or inconsistent. Contact local emergency services when there is an immediate threat.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information. You must use information received about other users only to complete legitimate Peke activity and comply with applicable privacy law.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Peke and request account deletion at any time. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access; remove content; cancel listings; or preserve relevant records where reasonably necessary for safety, suspected fraud, legal compliance, Terms violations, or protection of the Service and its users.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Peke does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, successful matching, user conduct, item legality, payment, delivery time, or shipment condition.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peke and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity arising from the Service or an arrangement between users. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Responsibility for claims
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your shipment, trip, content, unlawful conduct, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live. Before filing a formal claim, contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.
13. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms as Peke evolves. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when appropriate. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
